Sometimes, your research objectives may call for qualitative research approaches. In these cases, you need or want to hear first-hand what your customers or target audience have to say about your products or services and their attitudes, opinions and images of them and their purchase or shopping behavior. This approach is also used when you are starting to explore your markets and aren't sure what are all the issues or concerns.
